Slipless ("we", "us", "our") operates slipless.ng. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using Slipless, you agree to the practices described here.

What We Collect

• Account information: your email address and business name when you register.
• Receipt data: customer names, phone numbers, and transaction details you enter when creating receipts.
• Payment data: Paystack handles all card processing. We store only your subscription status and Paystack customer reference · never your card details.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the product.
• Device data: IP address, browser type, and operating system for security purposes.

How We Use Your Data

• To deliver the Slipless service · generating and sending receipts via WhatsApp.
• To manage your subscription and process payments through Paystack.
• To send transactional emails: account confirmations, password resets, subscription receipts.
• To calculate and pay affiliate commissions where applicable.
• To improve product reliability, fix bugs, and build new features.

Your Customer Data

When you enter a customer's name or phone number to create a receipt, that customer's data is stored on our servers. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that data (e.g. the customer gave you their number voluntarily). We process it only to generate and deliver the receipt you requested.

WhatsApp Links

Receipt links use wa.me deep links to open WhatsApp. We do not have access to your WhatsApp account or your customers' WhatsApp accounts. We do not store WhatsApp conversations.

Data Retention

• Free accounts: receipt links expire after 1 hour. Receipt data is retained for your history.
• Pro accounts: receipt links are permanent. Data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate data may be retained for analytics.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (dark/light) and language preference (English/Pidgin). We use session cookies for login. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Security

Slipless is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using Django's bcrypt implementation. Payment data never touches our servers · it goes directly to Paystack's PCI-compliant infrastructure. We regularly review our security posture but cannot guarantee absolute security · no system can.

Your Rights

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Third-Party Services

• Paystack · payment processing. Subject to Paystack's privacy policy.
• PythonAnywhere · server hosting.
• Zoho Mail · transactional emails.
• WhatsApp (Meta) · receipt delivery via deep links only. We have no formal integration with Meta.

Children

Slipless is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and notify active users by email for material changes. Continued use of Slipless after changes constitutes acceptance.
